I have a dream

Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 15th 1929. He was a Baptist minister and beginning in the 1950s he was also a civil-rights activist, he headed the SCLC. In his time as a civil-rights activist he played an important role in ending racial segregation of African-American citizens and the creation of the Civil Rights Act in 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. He won the highly honoured Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 among numerous other achievements. In April 1968 King was assassinated and he still continues to be remembered as one of the greatest social activist of our time.
